As some may have noticed, the flow of new posts here has nearly dried up. There are several reasons for this. First, I was preparing a spreadsheet comparing the video capabilities of various cameras. Unlike a lot of photographers, video is important to me and I want my next camera to be fairly feature rich. If you are interested, drop me an email and I’ll send it along.
Second, we have had a lot of new releases which I am trying to get up to speed on. Of particular interest has been Robin Wong’s series of articles and videos about the Olympus OMD E-M5. There has also been a lot written about Fujifilm’s X-Pro, especially Nick Devlin’s series on the Luminous Landscape.
As if all of that weren’t enough, along comes Lightroom 4 which I installed this past week. In preparation, I purchased Michael Reichmann’s and Jeff Schewe’s multi-part video Lightroom 4 tutorial and I am determined to work my way through it.
Finally, the beta version of Photoshop CS6 dropped last week. I immediately downloaded it and am exploring the new interface and features. If you don’t have Photoshop or have never tried it, I strongly encourage you to download this beta version because it’s free. It will be available for quite some time so use it to your heart’s content until it expires.
Now, back to the Web.
